PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
We will charge your insurance company for our services, but you are responsible for any copayment at time services are rendered. Within 30 days, your insurance company sends you an explanation of benefits with the date, procedure done at our office, amount paid to us and amount due to us, if any. Your insurance sends us the same information along with a check. We will send you a statement for any fees that are due to us after we have received your insurance check -- this statement is due and payable upon receipt.
We accept all major credit cards, personal checks and cash.
We offer 0% financing through Dental Fee Plan (www.dentalfeeplan.com).
We are in the Educator's Extra Credit program for teachers and staff of Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools.
INSURANCE
We accept indemnity style dental insurance benefits and are not signed on with any PPO or network dental insurances.
We are signed on with Delta Dental and MetLife Dental.
We are happy to charge your dental insurance for our services and our expert business staff will help to maximize your benefits. However, your employer chooses the dental insurance company for you. This "employer chosen" dental insurance determines the amount of coverage/benefit you receive after they receive the dental insurance claim. Everything is an estimate before they receive the dental insurance claim. In fact, should call your dental insurance company, one of the first things they say is "this phone call is not a guarantee of payment".
Dental plans vary greatly from employer to employer. For example, John Smith has Smiley Insurance Company and has a $25 copay on what he has been told he will receive at 100% coverage, while Suzie Smith who has Smiley Insurance Company, has been told she has 100% coverage, has the same procedure, and has no copay. What's the difference? John Smith works at Company A and Susie Smith works at Company B. Both companies offer Smiley Insurance Company dental insurance, but Company B has purchased a better plan for their employees.
Dental plans vary within a company. For example, Major Company USA has several insurance plans for their employees to choose from. Make sure you know your benefits as they can vary greatly from your co-workers. No matter where you work, we are happy to call your insurance company to receive a breakdown of your benefits and explain them to you prior to your dental treatment.
If you are unhappy with the dental insurance you are paying for through you workplace, ask your Human Resources personnel to investigate different plans.
Plans vary greatly, but our fees remain the same and reflect the care, skill, time, and individual attention necessary to deliver the best quality of care.
